San Francisco’s Red Devil Lounge was hotter than ever last Saturday night. If you weren’t there you missed out on a wicked funky and fiery lake of music and BOOTY.
Presented by the Funky Ones and Planet booty, the Funksgiving celebration opened up with Funky Ones flagship performers: i can dress myself. The energy they brought to the stage with their eclectic performance was both inspiring and infectious. Planet Booty closed the night helping us shake off the extra gravy and showing us how its done. They offered a fresh mix of saucy and swingin’ finally answering the question, “Who want’s more turkey?!”
Carlo de la Sera is a freelance photographer associated with the Almost Realism Media group. His is assisted by Dan Bliss.

Planet Booty is a force to be reckoned with. Having started as a genre-defying concept album by brothers Nathan and Dylan Germick that blends electropop, sci-fi synths, space funk and booty bass, the project has evolved into a live show of epic proportions. The 6-piece ensemble fuses electronics, drums, percussion, horns, marimba, guitars, and soulful singing (with a splash of choreography and theatrics) to create a hyper-charged and highly entertaining dance party experience.

San Francisco’s very own silly electroacoustic band produces face-melting dance beats with melodies both whimsical and a little creepy. Join Thundermouse, the Minister of Purpleganda and Graham as they warn you of alien invasions, get down with stegosaurus and leave you boneless. This unique and ecletic trio will freestyle, bow and blast you into the future where (spoiler alert!) there are also dinosaurs.
