Saturday, March 3rd, i can dress myself is playing Burnal Equinox. This is our favorite Burning Man Party in San Francisco and this is the third year we have been invited to perform! This year the event will be held at Public Works and we are delighted to be playing the main stage at 1:30am. Additionally, this will be our very first show with our new dancers the “i can dance commanders” featuring Bené Aria, Becky Neil, and Jonathan Chan! Come out and get weird!
Randomly checked out the Burning Man tag and at the top of the feed was this little gem somebody shot of our 2009 project The Mudpire!
Thanks friend!

As you may know, many of the Funky Ones work as volunteers for Burning Man Special Events in San Francisco. So this weekend we attended the Burning Man Staff Holiday Party at the Westerfeld Mansion at Alamo Square. Afterwards we cut the rug at the Flaming Lotus Girls’ Fundraiser at Somarts. It was quite a fancy kick off to the Holiday Party Season!

Just a reminded, the Funky Ones annual holiday party will be at Castle McLeodister on Saturday December 17th!

Max Poynton and Andrew Grinberg’s Bottlecap Gazebo will be the official Elephant Bird Camp project for Burning Man 2012!
In the coming year we will be supporting these reappropriationists with fundraising and work days, but the first step is the Burning Man grant process. What can YOU do to help? Just like the Facebook page and show how much community support these artists have!

This weekend a handful of Funky Ones assisted and attended The Artumnal Gathering, Burning Man’s fanciest party of the year presented by the Black Rock Arts Foundation. Many great connections were made and much rug was cut.
Now we turn our attention to the next big Funky Ones event, Funksgiving, next Saturday at the Red Devil Lounge.
The Black Rock Arts Foundation’s biggest event: Artumnal Gathering is tonight at the Bentley Reserve. The tickets are a bit pricey ($55) but totally worth it!
